ALL-ON-4

ALL-ON-4

All On 4 ® is an indication-specific system for the replacement of ALL teeth ON FOUR or more dental implants (depending on individual clinical and anatomical conditions) in either the upper or lower jaw, where the FINAL** teeth are fitted typically within the same day.

The surgery involves tilting of the back implants in order to provide adequate support for the new teeth using less implants. With less hardware there is also an improved flexibility in the design of the teeth for optimal function, strength and aesthetics.

Did You Know?

Dental implants procedures can be done in different ways, some of which may be problematic. In fact as implants are permanent and difficult to remove, one of the biggest challenges is that problems are not simple to fix and can lead to significant complications if the implants are not placed correctly.

Our exclusive use of the term All-On-4® helps patients distinguish our protocol and quality standards from alternative treatments which may appear to be similar.

Zygomatic Implants

Zygomatic implants (aka ‘Zygoma’), are longer than standard dental implants, and transverse the poor area of the upper jaw, often through the sinus, to anchor into the underside of the cheekbones (illustration prior page, bottom right).

This approach is used in severely resorbed upper jaws or when the structure and/or quality of the jawbone is extremely poor.

Zygoma implants are inserted from within the mouth, along with one or more additional regular implants in the front part of your jaw on each side (above).

In the most severe of cases two Zygomatic implants may be used on each side, this is referred to as Quad Zygoma, which may sometimes also be combined with an additional midline implant when required (illustrations below) or even pterygoid implant which is further towards the back region.
